#7 - How to conduct an infrared roof scan to find wet insulation

Finding wet insulation in a roof usually means you have found the source of a leak. The most accurate way to find wet roof insulation is by scanning the roof with an infrared camera. The whiter areas in these photos contain wet insulation. In the top photo, the water ran across the roof in a circular fashion from a leaking vent pipe flashing. In the bottom photo, the wet insulation migrated across the roof and saturated the 4 ft. x 4 ft. insulation panels.
