#29 - How to work safely on residential roofs

OVERVIEW:
Now comes the hard part. How to work safely and protect yourself from falling off the roof with a fall protection system. You will also have to consider how to rescue a worker that has fallen off the roof and is hanging over the siding in his safety harness. In the case of a residential rescue a nearby ladder would be the fastest way to get the fallen worker down to the ground. If you are the fallen worker and nobody knows you were on the roof, then you may be in big trouble. Always carry a cell phone and tell someone you are gong onto the roof.

The course shows varies ways to protect yourself while on the roof from installing temporary to permanent anchors and using rope grabs to keep from falling off the roof. There is also a roof hazards form if you want to identify the hazards and put controls on them and eight (8) supporting videos.

This course is ideal for Homeowners, Roofing Workers, Roofing Consultants, Roofing Contractors, and anyone who wants to inspect a residential shingled roof.

Length of course: Approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
